WHO ARE THE MULLIGAN BROTHERS
Finley and Quinn Mulligan are a rising directing duo from Portland, Oregon, known for their keen eye for detail, captivating storytelling, and innovative approach to filmmaking. Plus, they're not afraid to tell each other when something sucks ass. That helps.
The Mulligan Brothers didn’t have much growing up. Their single mom and blue-collar upbringing often left them with little else but their imaginations and the movies. Lots of movies. Through the values instilled in them by their hardworking mom and a shit ton of Jimmy Stuart films, the brothers have developed a serious penchant for hard-hitting, personal storytelling rooted in the struggle of everyday people.
Finley cut his teeth at the groundbreaking animation company LAIKA Studios, where he worked his way up from getting coffees to running the shooting floor as Assistant Director on award-winning films such as the BAFTA-winning Kubo and the Two Strings and the Golden Globe-winning Missing Link.
Quinn dove into the Portland indie music scene with his critically acclaimed band Fanno Creek; They climbed the ranks as one of Portland’s most beloved acts before dissolving as Quinn made the shift to a successful and highly praised solo career.
The Mulligan Brothers found their way back to cinema and back to each other as they set their sights on Wall Street corruption in their highly praised debut feature film Apes Together Strong. The brothers are currently working on several exciting new projects, each one pushing boundaries and bending genres in their own twin-like way.
The Mulligan Brothers are a force to be reckoned with, and they won’t be slowing down any time soon.
